Ecoterre is a French company that specializes in DIY solar equipment. The main sales channel is their website and webshop.
The challenge was to create a new identity and introduce new channels such as Instagram and offline prints. The existing visual identity lacked a clear line, there were no main colors, fonts or visual elements. We were commissioned to create a modern and appropriate brand identity that would leave a digital and trustworthy impression on customers.
In the competition analysis, the same stuff was shown over and over again: suns, sunflowers, arrows to represent electricity. Shadows were introduced as a supporting element in order to get around all the already stale elements. After the customer analysis, it became clear that the main customer is male, 45+ and wealthy, so the design is less playful and more focused on the essentials. An important and recurring shape is the parallelogram, which symbolizes the solar panels on the roof.
